Her Ink

Welcome to Her Ink

I thought long and hard about whether or not to start a new blog. I’ve been blogging at Anchored in Light for three years. While it wasn’t my first blog, it was the first time I really felt like a blogger. I took it seriously and did my best to create a good blog. I still didn’t know what I was doing (not that any of us ever do), but I tried.

When I started Anchored in Light, it felt big and important. I wanted it to be a place where I could share my life while encouraging others to reach higher in their own lives. Something I still hope to do in this blog.

Ultimately, it never lived up to what I hoped it would become. I tried to make it into something that wasn’t.

However, Ink is something that has always been there for me. When I didn’t have any friends, Ink was there. Whether it was the books I read or the pages that I poured my heart out onto.

Since then, Ink has shaped my life. The comfort that I took from books and setting down my thoughts on paper helped me decide that I wanted to be a writer. As a writer I hope to reach out  and touch other people and let them know that they are not alone.

I believe that life is about taking the words we read and using them to inspire us to create the lives that we dream of.

So this is my life. The words I read, the words I write, and the life I create because of them.

  1. Hey. Thanks for sharing. Honestly, wasn’t sure where Ink was taking me. Then it hit me like a truck. Ink although tangible, it is also and more so: a comforter; a friend; Ink is us/you living and breathing. Ink is unmasked; real.

It’s all this to me. Thanks for sharing.
